Why are aluminum foil lunch boxes popular

Aluminium and plastic food boxes are widely used in day to day life. As we all know, aluminium and plastic material differ in not only the properties but also in their usage.

Both plastic boxes and aluminium containers can be recycled. However, only 10% of plastic boxes are recycled compared 50% of aluminium containers. Comparing the strength of the aluminum and plastic, the aluminium is more stronger, durable and lighter.

When looking at the environmental aspects, plastic is more harmful to health and environment and it is hard to get rid of after usage because it does not degrade.

During processing, no additional materials are needed to strengthen aluminium. However plastic have to be made strong by fusing it with glass or steel.

Aluminium is a good conductor of electricity, whereas plastics are not.
